Community Partnerships

Lending our time, talent and resources

Investing in our communities is a key priority for Mutual of Omaha Bank. We volunteer time, talent and resources for a wide range of nonprofit organizations from coast to coast.

We serve a variety of organizations with a focus on making our communities a vibrant place to live, work and play. With a special focus on meeting the needs of low and moderate income individuals, we partner with entities that:

  • Provide healthcare, financial literacy and social services
  • Create and retain jobs
  • Develop and maintain affordable housing
  • Attract and retain businesses and residents in areas slated for improvement

Community Loans

Whether it’s a personal or business loan, we finance projects that continue efforts to boost our economy and create affordable living opportunities.

  • Tax Credit Projects: financing for tax-credit eligible entities that share our interest in improving our communities
  • Community First Home Loan: a leading home mortgage product tailored to meet the unique needs of the first-time homebuyer.

Community Investments

Investing in the communities we serve is critical to strengthening our communities.

  • New Markets Tax Credit Investments: We are an equity investor in projects that provide improvement through the New Markets Tax Credit program.
  • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Investments: As an equity investor in these projects, we are able to invest in affordable housing initiatives.

Community Services

Volunteering time and talent is just as critical as committing financial resources. Whether building a home, serving meals at a local shelter, raising money for a cancer research, or offering financial mentoring – we are committed to lending a helping hand throughout the year.

  • Teach Children to Save: Each year many of our employees volunteer in schools and non profits to provide this American Bankers Association curriculum.  This program teaches students the importance of saving.
  • Everfi – Financial Literacy: We sponsor this program in schools in many of our local communities.  This learning platform uses the latest technology to bring complex financial concepts to life.
  • Independent Volunteer Activities: We encourage volunteering and are proud to have many volunteers serving on the boards and in organizations in our communities.
