Protecting Your Personal Accounts
It’s important you actively monitor your bank statements to ensure charges reflect accurate detail. Notify our team immediately if any suspicious activity occurs.
There are some additional steps you can take in protecting your accounts:
- Enroll in eStatements and/or log into your account to signup for Online Bill Pay to avoid a paper trail of confidential information and potential mail fraud. (link eStatements to https://online.mutualofomahabank.com/MOO/Enrollment/EnrollmentExtended.aspx)
- Keep up to date on the FDIC’s recent consumer fraud alerts. Especially keep an eye out for common text, email and calling scams (link consumer fraud alerts to http://fdic.gov/consumers/consumer/alerts/)
- Take steps to protect yourself from identify theft and fraud. (identity theft and fraud link to http://fdic.gov/consumers/theft/)
- Never give out your personal identifying information via email or text. Be mindful over the phone as well, if you ever feel uncertain about your bank, insurance provider or an agency contacting you, call their customer service center from their website or your print records to verify and get routed to the correct contact.
