Our Employees in Action

The Mutual of Omaha Companies were founded on a simple principle: help people in time of need.

We put that principle into action not only through our products and services, but also through our charitable giving and involvement in the community.

Our employees frequently donate their time, skills and expertise to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations.

Whether it’s for the United Way of the Midlands campaign, JDRF Walk, Habitat for Humanity, Thanksgiving Baskets or the HALO collection, our employees give abundantly.

Read Across America
NEA's Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss's birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.

Mutual of Omaha Bank volunteers participated by reading to kids in local schools.

9-11 National Day of Service and Remembrance
On the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Mutual of Omaha Bank's Veteran Employee Resource Board (VERB) partnered with Habitat for Humanity to participate in the 9-11 Day of Service and Remembrance initiative.  Bank employees donated their time and energy to help a local Vietnam Army vet with cleaning and repairs around her home.

The results were gratifying for both sides.
