At Mutual of Omaha Bank, we want you to feel confident and safe when using your debit card. That's why we offer free text message alerts as part of our ongoing fraud monitoring program.

How It Works

With our fraud text alerts, any time there is suspicious activity with your account, you'll receive a text asking you about the transaction. If it's a legitimate charge, just respond to the text confirming the transaction. You're all set and can move on with your day.

If you don't recognize the transaction, you can respond to the text indicating that it's fraudulent. You'll then receive another text with a number to call so you can follow up with us.

Getting Started

If we already have your mobile number on file, you don't have to do anything at all. If any suspicious charges appear, we'll send you a text. It's really that simple.

  • Who can receive the Fraud Text Alert service?


    Consumer and business debit cardholders, who have a cell phone number on file with Mutual of Omaha Bank, are automatically enrolled to receive Fraud Text Alerts at no charge to the cardholder.

  • Is there anything I need to do to sign up?


    No sign-up is required. All Mutual of Omaha Bank debit cardholders with a cell phone number on file are automatically enrolled in the service.

  • Will I be charged for each text message received and sent?


    No, Mutual of Omaha Bank offers this service for your protection at no charge.

  • What do I do if the transaction is valid and not fraudulent?


    If the transaction is a valid transaction, type "YES" and hit send. You will not be charged for the original text message or your response. The transaction will be noted as valid and a follow-up text will be sent confirming your response.

  • What do I do if the transaction is a fraudulent transaction and not valid?


    If the transaction is not valid, type "NO" and hit send. You will receive a text informing you that a block has been placed on your card and a toll-free number to call to speak with a Fraud Center representative
